Aged Resident Seriously Ill - 1934

Charles R. Sweeney, Sr., one of the oldest residents of this city, and a retired chief watchman of the Delaware County Trust Company, is seriously ill at his home, 217 West Fifth street.

Mr. Sweeney, who will be 92 years old next month, is one of the few surviving members of Wilde Post, No. 25, G. A. R., and is well known to the residents of this city. The officials of the bank placed him on the retirement list two years ago.

Last night his condition was considered critical but this morning there was a slight change for the better.
